Finally got around to upgrading to the 5090, didn't really seem necessary, but it's one of my few indulgences. I always get the best GPU I can, starting with the Riva TNT2 and the 3dfx Voodoo.. not much difference at the same settings in the MW3 benchmark.. went from 5% cpu bottleneck to 2%, and 98% gpu bottleneck to 95%

@codinghorror I’m looking for. 5090 FE but they’re absolutely impossible to buy. This is one of my beefs w Jensen; I never had problems buying anything from Tim Cook

@tylercheung you are correct. Why the vast increase in price for high end GPUs? Computing devices get cheaper over time, not more expensive. Something else is happening here.

@codinghorror @tylercheung Well that’s the question.The mania is real though, considering they are all using the same APIs practically. It’s clear that there’s zero innovation happening. The agents all behave the same and use the same services. How is one better than the other? They all suffer the same problems.
