If you guys want to change titles to your liking on Rumble, I'd be happy to give someone the password and you can go nuts.Someone here was right when they said I care about PeerTube. I pay for that. Rumble is paid for by me as well...but the programming is not mine. So why should I make content for them better...why should I work to build their platform and to in effect encourage my followers to use Rumble instead of Peer???Such a weird stance. I have to work day jobs to keep this afloat. I don't have time for these petty little arguments when those arguing are mostly doing nothing to help.Soothspider is doing stuff...but alot of his stuff keeps people from using Peer. Weirdly in sync with others that advocate for the absolute shit platform of Rumble where IVM is sold constantly.Why not just spend time sharing PeerTube directly?

Open source and free software is entirely within the realm of Big Brother's dystopian tentacles and a huge territory of their turf control wars. If everything is fake and gay in the digital anonymous space, doesn’t it follow for the glowies to set up all non-standard pathways as progressive honeypots where the people with the most skill and drive to be “anonymous” would be surveilled the hardest?it seems to me that rather than trying to be the most anonymous person on the Internet, that there would be a sweet spot where one could be invisible to most of the basic enforcement mechanisms , but yet still in with a large enough crowd to not stick out too much?

PeerTube advertises Extinction Rebellion on their homepage... I have no actual knowledge of the PeerTube codebase but there are warning signs on the projects website. "Open Source" is only good if you trust the people who created it. Do you know the people who created PeerTube? This project could have been compromised by a national security agency, heck creating an account on PeerTube probably automatically adds you to a government watch list! I can't even post comments under the videos on this jank platform.

I wonder whatever happened to that "comments anywhere" browser extension thing, it was originally so you could post along youtube IIRC but out of band so you wouldn't be censored...It would be nice to see something like that and also out-of-band "chat" on any page that is p2p or muhblockchangs but ultimately it bypasses the shadowban/clampedvajajays

I use the code base and put this server together. As for user logins, I don’t want your ability to login to be tied to some Oauth flow through google or similar so the intent is to have you login with this a user account on the peertube server. That being we run the software and the user accounts.

I cant remember if it's OSS or actual FS but the Fosstards like to try to remake everything of value that isn't FS in FS and usually it sucks but it continues... (GIMP/Blender).I don't have a problem with something like Blender existing and putting pressure on autocad/solidworks/maya type super expensive proprietary software. I think it's probably why there are a bunch of cheap "Maker" versions of everything good now, so there is that.

It can also be referred to as FLOSS, because we need to have the word "Libre" in there too, right.And they're not all the same thing. This isn't free as in beer but free as in copyright, distribution and derivative rights or the lack. "Free" has generally been the Richard Stallman branch of licensing and thought and "Open Source" the Eric S. Raymond/Bruce Perens branch.They may seem commonplace now but nearly 30 years ago there was a lot of talk and thought that went into the nuances, distinctions and problems and advantages of both.With the massive glowie corruption of the free software community including Linux the flagship GPL software project (despite what GNUfags might want to say), the words have become synonymous to most people but they are not.
