       "It would start losing money very quickly."FYI that's exactly what #bluesky is doing. They are spending VC money and have no business model. As they both stand, #mastodon is sustainable. BS is not. But they have the hype machine that coming out of Twitter and hiding/avoiding the decentralization and the VC money enables. Sometimes the "smart people" either are not, live in a bubble or are lying.        @wjmaggos You're completely correct. This all also seems pretty detached from reality when it suggests Bluesky will just be the place people will flock to from everywhere forever while the momentum already seems to be fading.This "it's a protocol, not a platform thing" is a weird thing to keep repeating when they only have one platform worth anything using the protocol... I guess "Bluesky federates" evolved into this. Talk is cheap, let's see them make it happen first.
