@bajax @cassidyclown gotta love good speakers going to a good home. I got some Edify speakers (2.1 stereo with sub) that were manufactured in the 90s in Canada recently. Nice big heat sink on the back of the sub.

@bajax That's how my sister found the speakers she gifted me many years ago. Putting furniture and other items out the front of your house is formalized here as "verge side collection" - eventually the council comes pick it up but in the meantime everyone else can have a fossick. Unfortunately they are phasing it out in some areas because everything good in the world must be crushed.

@cassidyclown @bajax I found a huge CRT TV in front of a neighbor's house and it turned out this old lady got it out there somehow, the battery died in her remote so she assumed the tv was toast. Her son was not happy. I did not give it back 😅

@mitchconner @cassidyclown here's what I found-- really nice speakers, heavy, probably have that foam baffling inside, sound great. I can't hook it up yet, lol-- the mini amp I was planning to use DIED the instant I turned it on. It was basically brand new too- pyle is a terrible brand
