       I remember reading one reason fried chicken is associated with black people comes from when many restaurants wouldn't serve them. When travelling, they would often have to pack a meal or two. Fried chicken was often chosen, since it tastes good cold. White people would often see black travelers eating fried chicken, and the association stuck.And, as Alfonzo Rachel points out, black people are associated with liking watermelon and fried chicken, but are there any people who don't like fried chicken and watermelon?
