       @foxcat @tofu People come to Fedi from the social media where they don't have rich moderation tools and immediately start putting them "to good use" — not realising that there are no swaths of people to harass them here and that with such carpet bombing they are breaking the connectivity.At some point they might even realise that just ignoring the people they don't like might be sufficient (and in a lot of cases even better as it doesn't provoke retaliation like bans do), but it's already too late — admitting you were wrong ain't easy 🤷
