People in Internet security circles are sounding the alarm over the issuance of three TLS certificates for 1.1.1.1, a widely used DNS service from Cloudflare. The three improperly issued certs escaped notice for 4 months.https://arstechnica.com/security/2025/09/mis-issued-certificates-for-1-1-1-1-dns-service-pose-a-threat-to-the-internet/

@dangoodin "It's unclear how so many different parties could miss the certificates for such a long time span."Bullshit its pretty clear why these certs got cut.Microsoft is furiously trying anything to recapture DNS traffic from google and Firefox for ad revenue. Encrypted DNS has been a bane for ISPs for a long time as well.

@dangoodin My guess is someone is just making a test cert and didn't know that 1.1.1.1 is a valid address.
