Men don't generally discourage other men from reproducing because it's just not effective. You can convince 20 men to not reproduce, and one that remains can still have 20 children.But women discouraging other women from reproducing DOES work. And this is not just theoretical, the instinct is in fact real. One other thing I didn't get a clip of: If this was entirely a situation of women going haywire then you would expect men to be evolved to resist it, but what's observed is that men also tend to support pro-decline policies as civilizations begin to age out.Perhaps this is an evolutionary strategy where civilizations weaken themselves in order that they will be conquered. The evolutionarily fit end up breeding with the conquerers while the less fit end up dead. By this way, a lot more evolution happens than would happen in a hypothetical immortal society.

Now there's even something more interesting here. Most of us On Here like to imagine we're Strong Men, and we create Good Times, and the Hard Times are someone else's fault.But then when you see trans people participating in womens sports, why do you object? As a man, you should see another man giving up his ticket to the gene pool, and pushing women away from anti-reproductive activities.Or the recent event where the Ukrainian girl was killed by some Iraqis in Germany, as she was going to an internship at a veterinary clinic. And this sparked a huge amount of outrage, because it goes against everything that we see as a safe & civilized country. But you have to ask yourself: Is the goal of western civilization to make it so that girls can safely go to work and become veterinarians? If we're being completely honest, we have to acknowledge that a country where women don't feel safe going outside actually has better long-term survivability.So it's a bitter pill, but it seems that a lot of what we generally consider as basic necessities of a stable civilization are in fact elements of decline.

Pretty much everyone agrees this is horrible and we don't want it where we're trying to live, BUT are we really the Strong Men making Good Times or are we the Weak Men making Hard Times?Look at it this way: Germany (and all of Europe) has a population collapse problem, in a few more generations all of this will be gone. Why? See thread, but roughly: Women want to have careers and sex instead of babies.Now we can try asking women to make more babies, but they've convinced themselves and each other (see thread) that they want careers and casual sex, and NOT family and motherhood.Well, Afghans don't have any of these issues, because their women cannot go outside at all. Their culture is in no risk of collapse, it will continue to make all of the babies that it needs, because their women stay home.If you asked an Afghan why we westerners can't solve the population collapse, he would look you straight in the eye and tell you it's because you don't want to - and he's not entirely wrong.It's like we're the late stage Romans and they're the Vandals. We're insisting that we must secure our civilization against them, so that we can then try one more time to solve a problem which is threatening our existence and which they've solved already.And the weirdest thing about it is that the people most responsible for these collapsitarian policies (progressives) are also the most open to introducing a new culture which doesn't have them.It's PROGRESSIVE judges who let the migrants off with a slap on the wrist for what essentially amounts to enforcing a ban on women in public.Think about that. @cjd hmm... I'm thinking that when civilization starts to go in decline, people will oppose in any way imaginable, hence also in the more irrational/unexpected ways. So, as consequence of decline of civilization, rather than it being a cause of the decline/destruction.Also, often decline seems to correlate with a pattern of "infinite reinforcing actions for finite resources/circumstances", i.e. you optimize for infinite growth based upon finite resource.

Well it's flat on the states because it's based on population.The states can do what they want to get it out of the people. One can imagine that the states will settle on an optimal method because if they intentionally choose suboptimal, then people will run to other states.
