       Offit’s term on the #Vaccines & Related Biological Products Advisory Cmte, which evaluates #vaccine safety & effectiveness data to advise whether they should be approved, was originally slated to end in Jan 2025. He said an #FDA official asked him to remain on the panel, & Offit agreed to serve another 2 years.        @Nonilex The WaPo insists on framing another firing of a scientist at DHS as a boxing match, a sparring contest. That's false. It's a dispute over using facts, experience, and peer-reviewed research findings or doing what Bob Kennedy wants to do to quell his demons.

       @Nonilex The timeline doesn't work. If Offit extended his term as from Jan. 2025, it seems more likely that his being fired on Aug. 28th was not the withholding of consent, but the withdrawal of consent already given. That is, DHS reneged on a deal.
