@Okymir for vector work I use inkscape a ton. make all sorts of cool stuff that shouldn't be made as a vector.I just use krita for sketching occasionally.

@Okymir @illegalrx if you're going to upgrade to windows 11, i'd heavily recommend a few things.first, chris titus tech's winutil. it'll let you customize your operating system a lot and do things like disabling updates, telemetry, and tons of other stuff.https://github.com/ChrisTitusTech/winutilsecond, explorerpatcher. this will give you back all of the old windows 10 stuff including the taskbar, start menu, and the right click menus.https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcherthird, toggle rounded corners. only the setup .exe worked for me, but getting rid of those rounded window corners in favor of the old sharp ones is so much better.https://github.com/rich-ayr/win11-toggle-rounded-cornersthere are a lot of other tweaks you can do. if there is something you don't like about windows 11, there is almost a guarantee you can change it somehow with tools people have made. it is not unlike using linux in that regard, imo. personally, i mainly still use windows because it has an amazing colorblind filter and i've had issues with linux randomly corrupting itself when it updates or not working with some of my devices, even simple ones like my mouse.

@beardalaxy @Okymir @illegalrx Also, its fairly easy to get a local account with a new windows 11 install, like it shows in this vid. Also, there is a program called "shut up windows 10" that lets you debloat and get rid annoying notifications and what not.

@Okymir Its very easy as long as you know partitions but ya its best to have your different os on different storage devices. Easier to keep track of things

@soapone @Okymir I still don't understand why people care so much about vectors. I've been using Krita for years coz Im broke and seeing comments talking about how Krita is missing this or that makes me feel like Krita is just an inferior software and I should just switch to CSP as soon as I can

@Eranwel @Okymir I use vectors a lot for work, for CNC stuff. Vectors are also almost required for logos so it can scale from a business card to large poster prints to engraving on products and similar such uses.Am not a real artist, at least not really. Drawing, sketching, painting, and similar are things I almost never do. If I did, krita would be extensively used.

@Okymir @Trolltoll it’s not 2006 anymore, nearly all OS installers will handle this for you. At worst you’ll have to reinstall windows
