       Doing my MacWordle puzzle this morning I learned that the word “SALAD” is not found in the Dictionary of the Scottish  Language. That’s a turnip for the books.

       @benchwhistler I believe "salad" is spelled c-h-i-p-s in Glasgow.

       @drgeraint  In Aberdeen, if you want fish and chips you ask for a Haddock Supper. Cod is considered to be an inferior fish, suitable only for selling to England.
