@ricci FWIWIn the Mastodon mstdn.social website on Chrome for Android the URL wasn't an active link as you noted. But it worked when i pasted it in a new tab.And no link preview.

@ricci I've noticed odd behavior around link previews. Sometimes they will show in the feed but not on all posts.Opening the post always shows the preview and then it still displays going back to the feed.

@roytoo Apparently the way that bluesky does link previews is that the poster's client (automatically) uploads as screenshot and relevant metadata, and this makes more sense to me than whatever the weird inconsistent things that Mastodon does are
