       it’s weird that I still constantly see people talking about “rural vs urban” in the us as though this is the True Political Debate when almost 50% of americans live in suburbia. I love small towns and rural regions – I grew up in one – but suburbs are the disease at the heart of our society.

       @patchuun @clarity suburbia is a special type of hell. things are just far enough away that you need a car if you mind walking for 5 miles minimum. theres also jack shit to do due to zoning laws and the local parks kept getting lamer throughout my childhood in the name of "safety" cant have the kids have fun doing dumb shit.
