       @protonprivacy suspended my account as soon as I purchased the unlimited plan and sent an email asking how to change the recovery email as I no longer have access to it.        @benroyce @protonprivacy Proton Unlimited Plan was value for money for me. I'm really unsure which provider to use now. Self-hosting mail server and file storage is a pain in the ass. I lost important data several times because of issues with Nextcloud after update.

       @ml for mail/cloudstorage provider, i personally use @nubo_coop , https://nubo.coop/en/. it’s a young coop from brussels. i don’t think services are limited to only belgium, but i also don’t know how easy things go if wanting to join from outside belgium/eu. i assume the primary target at least is still belgium. documentation and stuff is in three languages, but the biggest focus is on the french and dutch, less on english.they do use netcloud for the file storage, but since it’s not you having to maintain it, i assume the problems you had don’t really apply here. there’s also calendar and contacts. for mail, custom domains can be added and for a custom domain one can also add a catch-all and/or aliases. prices are per GB, so no “unlimited”. there’s also a forum where people can help each other out and ofc also a specific support contact. financially-wise, a lot is still running on voluntary work, but the goal is to eventually be able to properly pay people.@benroyce
