And off we go as Social Media takes 5 seconds to hear of something, discards any complexity or nuance and forms it into a whiiiiiine. Yes it sucks but your personal parcels will still post. Business parcels over 100usd are stopped while a new system is being developed. This is not good but most people won’t be affected. To protest something you first have fully understand it.

@lardmotel Unless you are in the US buying something from Australia or the rest of the world.Or your business regularly ships products to the US.So actually quite a few people actually.Particularly since Australia had a free trade agreement, signed by a certain president. And the reason a new system is needed is because the US can't handle collection of the tarrif changes they did.Just another day in the so called land of the free, stuffing up international trade because they are incompetent.

@SuperMoosie You've set out the actual parameters of the problem... which I think is really the first small step in actually addressing it.If we just say 'all mail' as some are doing, it turns into a muddle.I'm supplying to the US and going to try all hand written envelopes, see how that goes. :)

@lardmotel Saw someone link an NPR report about "shipments suspended ... including Royal Mail".Checked the Royal Mail website. Nothing's suspended by the Royal Mail.Even supposedly reputable news sites are pushing out junk info
