       Join me in my session this arvo at DRAPAC at 14.30 Kuala Lumpur, 13:30 Bangkok, 16:40 Melbourne, 20:40 Honolulu (26th) , 18:40 Wellington. The session is titled 'Dead Data: Who Owns Our Digital Remains in the Age of AI and Neurotech?' ( I didnt choose that title lol)I will argue why the liberal conception of 'privacy' as individual right is flawed. BUT privacy in its material form (as in control over visibility, exposure, and circulation) is CENTRAL to the struggle over who gets to extract value and who gets to say no. If capitalism extracts surplus value from dead data, then privacy in death becomes a line of class struggle. Death ceases being a commeration or a remembrance but becomes a technical process.
