@cody i have a casio f-91w that also serves as my alarm clock (so that i don't have to keep my phone next to my bed). works great, looks decent, apparently easy to make bombs with, and most importantly, not smart 🙏

@cody I used to wear a pocket watch, but it was not very good and doesn't run anymore. And any wristwatch I wear stops within minutes (actually the pocket watch also did if I held it in my hand too long)

@cody yeah, but even electric watches, they just stop. The LCDs or diode displays stop too or display garbage... Happens with every watch. They go back to working normally if I leave them on the table for a few minutes tho.

@cody I'm a watch nerd, so I have some quartz, some automatics, one self-wind. 14 or so watches total.I wear an f91w most of the time, which is literally the cheapest watch I own, and is far and away my favorite.

@cody My clients get real pissy if they see me on my phone, even just checking the time, so I got one to keep track of the time without raising their ire. (Thank God for maintenance halls and backrooms and such where I can look at my phone in peace)
