@Richard perhaps for a bit older, but the “Great Books of the Western World” is a decent set, so long as you pull and reserve the Judeo-Communist shit out of it until the kids are older.The set is a compilation of classics and not a single work(s), not sure if that is what you are looking for or not.

@eriner i'm adding it to my future purchase list, but I'm more looking for actual history text books. something that starts in Mesopotamia or Ancient Greece and follows the chronological progression of western civilization.right now it looks like the two main choice categories are:Bible-centric history [meh]Jewed up "World History" [barf]All the world history curriculum and textbooks take wayyyyy too many detours into "ancient china, ancient india, and shit like that.

@Richard @eriner Will Durant created a huge set of history books. I have been listening to the audio, but it is very long.Conquest of a Continent by Madison Grant gives a racial history of our people and their conquest of America.Asha Logos has great videos on Odyssee that reference many books he researched. His history narrative creates inspiration and love for our ancestors.I also recommend having your children research their family through familysearch.org.

I was going to suggest books made prior to the 2 world wars, you can always fill them in on more modern history as needed but for more correct older history, getting a book without the slant of the modern agenda would be best.

@Richard We've used "The Story of the World" by Susan Wise Bauer for the last four years. It is a nicely comprehensive text that has two volumes: Ancient Times to end of the Roman Empire, then the second volume covers through modern times. Nicely covers Egypt, Rome, The Matter of France, The Matter of England, The Renaissance, etc. Has nice assignments involving maps, as well.
