When boycotting Israeli goods (have you heard, they’re committing genocide), make sure you check for country of origin on the label, not just the barcode that starts with 729.https://www.ipsc.ie/press-releases/a-note-on-barcodes-israel-has-not-changed-its-barcode-to-defeat-bds

@aral In France and many other E.U. countries, they solved the problem : they do NOT mention, where the product has been made. It is illegal, but they do it nonetheless.Or they argue that "It is the country where the product is imported from, say Italy, that should put it on the package" and Italy replies, no, it is up to France, the final seller to do it.Result is, I dare you to find the origin of a pack of houmous or eggplant-cream on the package of 80% of products sold in France. And when you take a picture and go to the manager to tell them this is unlawful, they won't even have a glance at you "if it's in our shelves, then it's legit".

@aral I normally use #nothanksapp I don't trust the barcode 729 it's been out there for years and I'm pretty sure they change it.
