You're right, Kuklinski. Originally Jesus was presented as a human who was given divine powers and authority. The first three gospels (c.70-90 AD) portray him like that. But by the time the Gospel of John was written (c.125 AD?) Christianity was becoming more Hellenized. So Jesus was re-imagined as a god in human form.

Yes, Christianity regards this life as nothing more than a test to see if you are worthy of a better life in the next world, Kuklinski. So you are expected to live in constant fear and uncertainty about whether you will be rewarded or punished for everything you do.

@RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @mackya It’s not.. and I don’t even need to get into it. The best way to learn the difference is to go to an interfaith dialogue meeting and say that stuff to a rabbi. His face will turn red.. and you’ll get a 3 hour history lesson.

@mackya @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare Sounds like a jew making jew noises. He would be far more tolerable if he drank a gallon of bleach.

@Glassjaw @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @mackya Islam was created 500 years later (after Christ walked the Earth). So we can't really use them as a source. The "jewish religion" as we know it today didn't exist at the time of Jesus. They were broken up into many sects and only organized to oppose Christianity.Even Hannukah, one of the best known jewish holidays today, was all but forgotten about, until they realized they could use it to oppose Christmas...
