I saw that George Michael gifted people anonymously and ever since then, I do the same thing. I can't afford IVF but will send a spa voucher or donate to friends' kids' football teams. I love it and no one ever suspects it's me.

@falken i actually wasn't saying "they said that" - but they did say they gave anonymously, not sure why you're trying to take a different side... just because I said the confession was nonsense probably. Most of them are, you'd have to gullible to believe 50% of them and this is one. It's really easy to say you go around giving gifts - you probably don't. I run a 501(c)3 and we have seen, and others have seen, donations decline since 2021. People, overall, are growing less empathetic. I'm not buying this confession. It's fun to make up a lie and see it published, that's all this is.

@falken @joe I find blocking everyone who says "didn't happen" under these stories greatly improves my mastodon experience.I mean we all know a lot of them are made up🤷
