@elementals I haven't had a haircut since 2018 (a few months B4 I came out as trans) beside my wife doing a single snip of my bangs last year, in general very scared of getting a haircut

@elementals mandatory bowl cuts & No.2s till I was 10 when I started refusing & once it got a certain length my school had a meeting with my mom about it where everyone agreed I'd get it cut and then the next day my library teacher gave me a concussion and cut it with blunt scissors cause he was upset I didn't get it cut in the 16 hours since. I just cut my own hair these days, other people are too weird about me to be allowed any input. You can't trust these humans I swear.

@elementals my mom cut my hair a lot and refused to let it so much as touch my ears. about a week or so before i ran away she buzzed my hair resulting in me refusing to cut or even style my hair for 3 years. i cut my own hair now :)

@Erato_Heti @Jazzcraft Why do you say this, Viv? It seems I quite often hear stories of transfemmes who, before transitioning, were disproportionately policed with regards to gender.In my mind, there's only one thing that would cause a parent, guardian, or peers to viciously police a closeted trans girl's gender: the fear that we might figure it out. But maybe I've missed something.

They want you to look like them and you just cant really look like them if you grow your hair out while looking like ‘that’ etc. A lot of them dont care about the relative fagginess about it they care that you look uncooth and impolite. They care that carry conversations like them to. People are very upset about non conformism in the sense that it indicates as anti social and they pity your lack of a social life. A lot of active hatred follows from this only because they are trying to keep you adjusted and they dont know anybody else that acts like you. Hegemony is not some intelligent battering ram its a bunch of people being dumb and rigid. They want you to be prosocial and not be around criminals and addicts. I like being antisocial I like hanging out with other deadbeats. I like being unapproachable. Masculinity is an ironically prosocial thing now. It straight up wasnt like 80 years ago. It was stoic cowboy types, noir detectives in stupor. This over emphasis of boypride is a post reagan thing. I dont give a shit.I dont go to get a haircut not because im scared but because I dont give a shit to waste my time at that damn shop chatting with my hairdresser. Nowadays, one of the reasons gayness was so widely accepted is that they realized how well adjusted and prosocial you are. Women dont get to do that ever anyway. Gay guys and drag queens are part of the norm because people are addicted to the performative socialness of it all. Were losers man nobody wants to actually talk to us but they keep encouraging us to try because they are obsessed with ‘fixing’ us. Society is upheld by an endless socialness. Thats why they tried to get the moms to cure autism out of kids or slaughter them like 30 years ago.
