In his ruling, Orrick said the #Trump admin had offered no opposition to an extended #injunction except to say the first injunction was wrong. It has appealed the first order. @Nonilex The issue kinda drives me nuts, because there is no such thing as a “sanctuary city/state”. Local and state governments are under no obligation to spend resources participating in enforcement of federal laws. It’s that simple. Here in Seattle we have really tight budgets and a lot of other expenses. Our police budgets are limited (not limited enough for my taste but still). We can’t afford to waste money on immigration enforcement, and we just don’t have to.
