@thefinn What was wrong with the M4? I am by no means an arms expert, but we have a lot of empirical evidence that shows why this is retarded. To sum it up, this is gay

@Vulpes_Quartus @thefinn I didn't think of that latter aspect. Clearly MIC judaism though, it always is.

@thefinn >We've taken an infantry battle rifle that must be carried for possibly dozens of miles at a time and made it EVEN HEAVIER!Fuggin brilliant. Other's also mention how long (decades) it took to work out all the kinks from the M16 platform; I guess they want to do that again. Also ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

@thefinn Brought to us by the same company that now owns the Sig P320 fiasco with the same gaslighting CEO, Ron (((Cohen))). (The guy BTW who was in charge at Kimber when they ruined their reputation by going from high quality 1911s to mass producing with poor quality control.)Expensive, heavy and much higher chamber pressures will wear them out quicker and prevent troops from getting enough live round training. Stick to 5.56 for regular troops and give them more time and training to be effective. Use 7.62 for Designated Marksmen and then we have 300 Win. Mag and .338 Lapua for snipers. From large (Ford Carrier, LCS, F=35) to small (P320, M7) most of our systems are just jobs programs and profit makers for the MIC.

@Big_Farma @thefinn Should also mention this rifle and its companion machine gnu have an insanely complex and inherently expensive case to achieve that much higher pressure of 80,000 psi :cirnoForReals:At the base is a stainless steel head which uses an aluminum lock washer to mate with the brass forward of it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.277_FuryBoth guns also have suppressors, so with the insane pressure wearing out barrels and likely more relatively quickly, that or what's inside it also be a consumable. I'm sure someone could come up with an even more diaspora Jewish gun design, but it would take work.Disagree on sticking to 5.56 NATO with super short barrels like the M4, that's just insane for a bunch of reasons if you're willing to abandon the AR-15 envelope. I'd go for something in 6.5 mm which hits a lot of sweet spots in external and terminal ballistics. The 6.8 mm family which this new round belongs to also has some good arguments and a century of history in the US with the Winchester .270.

@ThatWouldBeTelling @thefinn And yes on those 6mm round options if we shift off the 5.56/AR platform!

Weird how when I went through BRM in Basic, not a single person in my platoon got a jam or misfire. We trained on the M16A1.

@Dagnar @EvilSandmich @thefinn When I was issued my rifle, M16A1, I showed the Drill Sergeant the millimeter of space/wiggle room between the upper and lower receivers."It should be fine," he said, dismissively. It was fine.

And to think earlier generations carried stuff like the Garand without dying from the weight. My grandfather was in both WW1 and WW2. Imagine going from the Gewehr 98 to the M1 Garand, and then hearing these sissies today bitch about a 5lb rifle.

@Dagnar @mothersmurfer @EvilSandmich @thefinn It's also carrying less ammo for more weight. They want to keep 7 mags as the combat load woth 20 round capacity instead of 30. That and carrying all the other bullshit on top of that as well. Just an all around bad idea, nevermind it's a Sig product so it'll probably fail catastrophically lol

That's what happens when design engineering is run by futurists. I bet all of them play space games now, where a blaster rifle is 2lbs and never runs out of ammo.

@mothersmurfer @Dagnar @EvilSandmich @thefinn Iโ€™ve got a relatively inexpensive (at the time) AR15 that has a milled lower receiver, with a nice chamfered flare around the magazine well. Iโ€˜ve not measured, but I imagine it has 15-one thousandths inch slop or so. Anymore, I donโ€™t see these features on comparably priced rifles up for retail. We used to be a proper country ๐Ÿ˜” ๐Ÿ˜

@Dagnar @EvilSandmich @mothersmurfer @thefinn It's designed to print money for Siggers. If I remember correctly, the M4 costs 600 per unit for the military and this abortion is significantly more. The whole project was created in a weird way, they wanted to push the engagement distance for the rifleman to match that pf the machine section. Ten years later this thing waddles out and Sig starts getting all the small arms contracts. On top of that the idea for the infantry now is for them to get as close as possible to not allow UAS to be used on them. The real tell is that Rangers & Marines have both rejected the M7, Rangers are sticking with the URGI & Marines with the M27
