       @SteveBellovinI think food irradiation is done with Cs137 because it is so plentiful. There's no way irradiation is not done, far more than we'd like.... Its just so cheap and undetectable. Done right, it's probably fine. "Right", meaning safe and sealed gear, is no given.  @mattblaze
