       the whole thing with "he's gonna make this deal for me..." ..  I mean, what if the deal he wants to make is not in fact "end the war", but is actually "lets have a really long war so that I can use wartime laws and keep myself in power" -- granted he'll probably die before his terms up, natural causes ofc. but you know, just because he says he's going to get a deal doesn't mean it's the deal you think he wants to get
