@weirdestate Interesting. THe fake fireplace is weird, but overall, not terrible. Lol unless the books and shelves are fake!

@tomjennings I recognise several books there (special editions, mostly) and I can't believe someone would rip the cover off of them to make fake shelves "spacers". And the shelves have book depth (see the bottom of the shelves on both photos). If I had the money I'd have at least a room dedicated to all my books (already have three and a half of the biggest IKEA Kallax filled, at least 10 more 30L boxes with books that don't fit on the shelves).@weirdestate

@weirdestate Strange decorative books notwithstanding ... this isn't that many books. If having a few book walls is enough to call your home "the book house" then I live in the book pit. We had a huge open living room and used bookshelf walls (books on two sides) to divide it into a loft bedroom. In the bedroom you have books on all sides and you go in through a book arch. Meanwhile every structural wall is also a bookshelf except in the bathroom and living room. This is baby stuff.

@futurebird @weirdestate The white trimmed shelves look like they have an overhang that would prevent pulling any book out, and there’s no gap to get your fingers in, in either picture. Duplicate bibles. Probably others. This is designed for people who don’t read.

@futurebird @weirdestateWhen I was writing up a permaculture design plan for my house for a class...let me assure you that books and shelves were an integral part of "Insulation and Information" functions.
