       Lawrence O'Donnell (Liberal Newsmen) isn't always helpful but he did point out that Trump only sent enough troops to DC that there will be 200 of them on duty at a time. Which is nothing?Like that's not enough people to have a real impact. He seems to think this is mostly a photoop.I hope he is correct.

       @futurebird Not a photoop.  I think it's more a show of power.  "I can order troops to take over any time I want" kind of thing.Trump is feeling pretty small these days.  His ego demands he hurt more people.

       @futurebird Their first job is to round up all the homeless people on the routes taken by the Presidential limousine. They can probably manage that with 200 officers. The question is what concentration camp the people will be taken to.

       @futurebird 200 cops are no way enough for a city the size of DC. Not to mention that 200 soldiers != 200 cops. The skills are not the same. If I were a crime Lord in DC I'd be licking my chops in anticipation.

       @lePetomaneAncien There really isn't a crime issue there. And this is extra to the Police who I'm certain will love the interference and be very happy and helpful about it. DC way down on the list of cities for all manner of crime. Most people cannot correctly name the cities in the US with the highest crime rates because all media do is lie and talk about places that had issues two decades ago.
