The 1878 #PosseComitatusAct prevents the president from using the #military as a #domestic #police force. The case could set precedent for how #Trump can deploy the guard in the future in #California or other #states. The Dept of #Defense ordered the deployment of roughly 4,000 California #NationalGuard troops & 700 #Marines. @Nonilex Now Trump is getting ready to deploy the National Guard in Washington DC. I hope that California is successful in fighting back. DC has fewer resources

@Nonilex I went to the first day of testimony expecting a crowd. The court was expecting one too as they had set up an overflow court. A few reporters and half a dozen onlookers like me. It was interesting. Come tomorrow. The fun starts at 9:30 in court 6, 17th floor of the San Francisco Federal Building, 450 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102.
