       @MostlyTato @broadwaybabyto Raw milk enthusiasts point out that people having been drinking raw milk safely for millennia. Except those people had been drinking the same milk from the same cows since they were kids. They owned their own cows, kept them in sanitary conditions and they were free to graze on grass, their natural diet.*Even then* it wasn't as safe as pasteurized or filtered milk, and zoonotic diseases such as cowpox were common.
