Two things I will do today to help me not feel like shit (in addition to having breakfast just now):1. Take my mouse apart and see if I can't get the stupid cunting thing cleaned. I don't want to solder anything so I hope cleaning it will resolve my issue2. Do a python lesson. Like from the course? The one I've been ignoring for over 2 weeks? That one.

Task 1 is done. That thing had entirely too many screws. Think I stripped one when putting it back together because I'm an ape Buuuut it works better now. Not quite perfect but definitely good enough to put up with and to not hurt my hand like before

By the way I am shocked, and disgusted, by how much cat hair was in there. And mysterious yellow gunk. And it wasn't near the left/right click levers like would make sense, but near the sealed edges. I'm hoping it's glue from the factory that is degrading? But it wasn't visible in any photos or videos I watched so... Yuck.

@warmbeverageenjoyer SCREW STRIPPING COULD JUST NOT BE A PROBLEM IF HEADS WERE:1) NOT SHALLOW ANGLED (ALLAN KEY)2) NOT CURVED AT THE BOTTOM (PHILLIPS, ALTHOUGH THIS MAY BE RELATED TO PREVENTING LOCKING THE DRIVER SO MAYBE NECESSARY)3) NOT EXCESSIVELY DIVIDED (PHILLIPS, ALSO SOMEWHAT FLATHEAD)SURE THERE'D STILL BE A MAXIMUM TORQUE BUT IT'D BE LIKE 3X WHAT A HUMAN PUTS OUT INSTEAD OF MAYBE 0.8X

You can still fuck those up. My 2006 Subaru rear diff has a square for the fill and drain plugs. A lot of forums just recommend using the 1/2 inch socket on your breaker bar. Mine was in there tight and it started making small dents in the metal :blobcatscared: Turns out, it's not a 1/2 inch. It's a 13mm. I ordered a specialty set and it was a much better fit. Even then I had to hit it with a ton of Pb Penetrant, and several minutes with a heat gun, over and over, until both plugs finally broke loose. The transmission had a much better designed plug: T-70 Torx. I could find these bits locally and they provide a lot of surface area. I don't think I used any Pb spray, just the breaker bar, to get this loose. Trox seems like the better option.
