       Every time I have ever seen anyone in the "polyamorous" or "open marriage" subculture, they had one thing in common: being objectively so unattractive that they were untouchable. The ugliness was both physical and psychological, and it was so extreme that it made them immediately repellent.Race, social class, all other factors irrelevant.        @Cosmic The one good thing in your story is that they had no children. I've seen quite a few people go bad this way. The woman usually ends up dyking out, and about half the time the man becomes a flaming homo.  When they have kids, it's an utter disaster for those children. At least they're only destroying their own lives.
