800 tiny silk threads, 40 threads per inch, 20 inches, this is going to take awhile. #weaving

Whew. No part of this project is going to be fast, or easy, I don’t think. I’m starting to be concerned these threads might snap pretty easily once they are under tension…

40 threads down, 760 to go. At least this is a simple twill pattern, so I'm less worried about threading mistakes.#weaving

@kyle At least there's no concurrency. Are there punch cards involved, is what we all want to know.

200 threads down, 600 to go. The fine threads make it take a bit more time to find the right thread in my lease sticks, which I think is part of what is slowing me down. That and I'm doing this in 30-60 minute bursts, instead of epic 2-3 hour threading sessions.#weaving

@kyle short bursts sometimes are the best way to go. You’ve got some very fine threads there, plus they are all the same color. It can be hard on the eyes.
