       Yes, everytime you laugh at Mr Bean it keeps a plane in the sky. When you laugh at Blackadder it keeps the international cargo ships running. No one knows Rowan Atkinson outside of the UK apart from Mr Bean. So Mr Bean was used because of the greater energy expenditure needed to keep planes in the sky. Concorde burst into flames when it was rerun in too many countries at once.
