Anyway he would sit in the chair all day just thinking, and rocking in his chair not writing a single line of code, he did this for months, when the deadline was close you know a month or two he would show up and just write the whole shit from his thoughts, no stand up meets, no agile, no scrum, no gaant charts (fucking hate gaant charts) no flow charts he would just write the whole thing from his thoughts. I heard this story from someone who worked at IBM during this time and he still works there today actually so almost 40 years. No idea if it's true but I like to think if you're autistic you could do this.

I did a cybersecurity internship at a massive financial institution. All the real work was being done by Cisco contractors who had no time for us even when we were supposed to be shadowing them. The only W-2 in the entire department was the head who started the internship to try to train replacements for the contractors, and he got fired halfway through. Then I stopped showing up for a year when I went to work for a startup and when I came back to turn my shit in my keycard still works. Don't assume multi-billion dollar corporations actually ever know what the fuck they're doing, they eventually grow so large they foment government-tier institutional incompetence.
