First I get all these push polls about Jefferies, Torres and other moderate democrats ... now these same dems are going on liberal(tm) podcasts like Miadas touch and Legal AF. Mostly talking about how they are "fighting Trump" which is nice. That is very nice and good I suppose. You know, it's better than nothing. Which is what they were doing before. **eyes narrow**

I have a search for the names of major politicians who represent my area on YouTube so I find out fast if they decide to show up on little shows. These two generally do not do podcasts, and I consider that a missed opportunity. But how about casting the net a bit wider?

@ben They are doing things. They have been doing a lot but not talking about it. The famous Liberal tendency to not want to risk anything. It seems like they are still doing the same legal actions, which are important, but also talking about them which could make it more impactfulHowever, this is a baby step.I just find it funny after all of the paranoid polls they sent out two weeks ago that were like "please don't primary me please"

I don't think these podcasts are super popular in the south bronx so I don't know how much it'll help Torres. He needs to go on radio if he's trying to seem less distant. Or maybe come to the street fairs? Of course those are also places where people might yell at him.

@futurebird @ben There was a small push after Zohran won this district pretty easily to portray it as just because of gentrification, but walking around my neighborhood in the lead up to the election it's not the transplant hotels taking over the neighborhood where the Zohran signs were. There were signs all over long-term residents' homes. Nothing for Cuomo.

One way or another, fossil carbon extraction is going to stop.)People have not necessarily figured this out, but they have figured out that they're big mad at the efforts to prevent change to the status quo. And the Democratic Party is absolutely a party of the status quo. (Like any other political party, pretty much.)
