@Nonilex Metropole-colony relations aside, a large senior cadre of US State Dept professionals would have resigned, when their president attempted to personally quash the corruption prosecution of a former foreign head of state by his home country. And then imposed punitive 50% tariffs when that country's govt said the American president was shockingly interfering in its internal affairs. Today? Crickets.
