       My doorbell’s been a bit iffy for a while, but it has been definitely dead for a week or so and I’d been meaning to change the battery. Finally got around to it today, and it wanted one of those little coin batteries, so I headed to Amazon (muttering, as I did, about why they always come in two (or more) packs when I only needed one). Just about to click “add to basket” when I noticed a little “last purchased Feb 2023” in the corner, and what do you know: there it was in the battery box, ready and waiting to be fitted, the unloved other half of the two pack!

       @Flick Like with my car's fob. It's battery died recently, and it was a day or so before I thought to check in the glove-box to see if I'd put a spare battery for it in there. I had. And now the old battery's on the kitchen bench to remind me to get another two-pack, which I haven't done yet.
