Out of the blew today my fascist grandpa, who I have not talked to for years called me today, caught me at a bad time since we where at table top game night we do once a year with my gf familyHe wanted to "talk" but I guess something happened, otherwise he would not call me lolI told him very blunt I don't have time for him and he can call me back another time, I'll pick up if I feel like itScrew you grandpa, time to turn the tables and make you dance!You are all my true family ❤️

@stux I get it because I have that relationship with my father. He was psychologically, verbally, and emotionally abusive to me growing up. I want nothing to do with him now. So I am empathetic to others with strained relationships with their family members.

@stux Go Stux. It's so important to be able to close doors when we need to. I knew someone who was very friendly to me, but at the same time insensitive, manipulative, and supports the ugliest of politics. I cut her off, blocked her number. A second letter came yesterday in the mail. I had to talk myself through what an actual appropriate letter would look like (nothing like hers!) before getting back to the life I've chosen. Sending wishes for continued strength and joy.
