@eriner I thought it was tampons that were the future of vaccine?

@eriner This is making my choice to never floss look pretty good.

@jeremiah @eriner Over the last 6 years I can't get near a dental office without the Dental Tech pushing me to buy a WaterPik. Now I know why.

@Faelyn @jeremiah I tried it, really don't like it. Prefer normal floss.

@eriner @Faelyn as long as normal floss is available and trustable, you've got good choices.

@eriner @Faelyn fwiw, my father's a dentist and has been using a waterpik at home for decades, recommends them strongly in addition to regular (but not necessarily daily) use of floss. I use one and it has been a notable improvement over floss according to the hygienist.

@jeremiah @eriner That's really interesting. Thank you.I always worry about water sitting in a plastic chamber for days, meaning growing black mold / bacteria. I had bacteriology in college and some things stuck with me. I wonder why shooting water against your teeth would work better than using wax floss and working it in well? What I don't want to do is add without taking away something. Brush, floss, waterpik ....what's next??

@Faelyn @eriner a waterpik is high pressure with a concentrating nozzle. It can get where floss (and the brush) can't, and is very good on the gumline (again, where floss and brush mostly suck.)I put a little listerine in mine every couple of runs for sanitary reasons, but it's hardly more of an issue than the shit in the city water to begin with.( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5a9MiihQTk )

@Faelyn @jeremiah @eriner probably can use 3% hydrogen peroxide in it too.
