Does anyone else experience that at some point during a lecture (or similar situation) your concentration is "used up" and you suddenly stop being able to parse what the referee is saying? Like, my mind constantly slips away and when I'm able to parse a sentence, it takes so much time that they already said four more sentences. It's probably typical #ADHD stuff, idk but it feels so weird. It's like a wall of incomprehension that suddenly hits you out of nowhere. Is there like.... a word for this situation?

@Emili not unheard of for short term memory to get filled up, or run out of "directed attention."amusingly the best time for deep work is right out of bed and the best time to study is just before bed (sleep is when memory compaction/processing happens)
