@Anneheathen Keep your system software up to date. Change your passwords and use strong ones. Login to important accounts on a regular basis. Set up text notifications for things like bank accounts. Be wary of clicking links from texts and emails. Don't give out information if someone calls you claiming to be a bank or insurance. I don't think buying an anti-virus app for iphone is helpful, or effective for avoiding attacks.I have serious doubts about them on nearly every system.

@Anneheathen But I also want to ask, in case my advice isn't matched to your needs or exposure why you think you might need one?

@futurebird @Anneheathen Totally agreed. Expanded a bit on your points with my own post.

@futurebird @Anneheathen seconding this"anti-virus" software is always at least questionable and on iOS specifically it's not really a thing at all (other than scam ones I guess)

@Anneheathen I want to second setting up 2fa. Using both your phone and another identity verification means just makes it harder to hack your accounts.

@futurebird @Anneheathen I would also suggest using digital wallets instead of putting your actual debit card number. For example, Apple has virtual debit cards you can use to hide your real debit card number But also use virtual cards from your bank if they offer it, or with a service like privacy.com
