Building the facility in the #Everglades & naming it after a notorious federal prison were meant as deterrents, #DeSantis & other #Republican ofcls have said. The #Trump admin has delighted in the area’s remoteness & the fact that it is teeming w/ pythons & alligators. As Anat Shenker-Osorio explained during the most recent Freedom Over Fascism Movement Briefing (please DM me for link to get on the distribution list for the briefings), they pick their words with intention. Repeating them serves their ends, not ours.Anat suggests Florida Fascism Facility, or better just call it what it meets the dictionary definition for, a concentration camp.

@Nonilex How convenient. Direct deportation flights from Trump-De Santis's Everglades concentration camp. Totally incommunicado, virtually impossible for people and the courts to see and oversee. That's one reason Germany set up its camps in Poland and elsewhere outside Germany.

@Nonilex Heard that some flights are going to Africa and Western Asia, rather than typical destinations in LatAm. We can persuade the opposition through #compassion instead of unending division. Law is a concept of justice, and to enforce law cruelly itself is unlawful. 1920’s Native Americans were given citizenship. Many of these people are Native Americans from LatAm. Many are resident workers, hard workers.Think about how it will impact us diplomatically. Karma. #ice #usa
