Once again, #Linux betrayed me: #GnomeDiskUtility only gave me error messages when trying to create a #partition table, #GParted just froze, and #fdisk returned a success message but didn't actually do anything. So I turned to Windows – which did the partitioning just fine without any issues. 🤐

@pixelcode And nothing has happened. You are a happy Windows user!By the way, just for the record, Gnome & extensions are not the same as GNU/Linux. Don't like the experience? Switch to KDE. Don't like that either? Switch to XFCE. Don't like that either? Switch to LXDE. Don't like that either? Maybe WMs are more your thing. Shall we start with i3wm? No? How about qtile? No? How about... You get the idea, right? Windows is (among other things) monolithic. GNU/Linux is not. You have a multitude of options with the penguin. The multitude of flavors worked for me many years ago. Don't dismiss a good friend because of a bad first impression.BTW, if you do things using the dreaded CLI, you get more info about errors ;)

@alejandrobdn Well, there are plenty of reasons why I don't like Gnome's competitors (most importantly their look), and I'm also not willing to constantly switch desktop environments only to avoid bugs. But I'll remain a Linux user though, no worries ;)(Oh, and in this case, the CLI didn't give me any error message, but a fake success message, sooo… 🥴)
