ICMP(v4) new packet type: Connection UpgradeClient: Requests connection upgradeServer: Responds with a list of its global unicast IPv6 addressesRationale: Boost IPv6 adoption. Facilitate IPv6 connections in the common scenario of dual-homed hosts lacking AAAA records in DNS.

@fluepke You're doing it wrong. It should be like this:Client: sends any kind of packet to the server over IPv4Server: respons with ICMP Connection Upgrade, with a list of global unicast IPv6 addresses, and the header of the packet that prompted this, then continues to process the packet as normal

Or maybe rather via HTTPS+JSON, because of confused and incompetent admins scared into blocking ICMP?I propose: /.well-known/ip6.json

How to make this an Internet standard? Needs to be included and enabled in the kernel by default.
