       @nobody Do you think it's the hardness of the water that affects the flavour? Different areas of Copenhagen (and even moreso, Denmark) have greatly varying degrees of water hardness. Which area are you in?

       @nobody It certainly depends on where you brew your tea. Some places in Jutland you will find a lot of chalk which will destroy your tea and your bathtub. On other locations the water is as soft as a baby's check. In the western part of Jutland you might fint red water. It contains iron. You really don't want to drink that.

       @teotwakiAh I should read up about this, but should be something of the sort? Hardness, the exact mineral composition... I was to two places:1 Copenhagen, near Oerestad. Very high calcium, very distinct taste, and you feel it in the shower too. Electric kettles universally feature thick layers of hard residue, and roasteries use bottled water.2 Fyn, near Gelsted. Little to no calcium in the taste, no issue washing out soap when showering. But all attempts at brewing tea have been disartrous

I descale every 3-4 weeks, and there’s basically no buildup. Same for the coffee machine; water filter and regular descaling. I’ve never seen coffee shops use bottled water though. Agreed on the shower effect.
