#Trump has taken as much advantage of his new powers as he plausibly can, prosecuting his political enemies, firing independent agency heads, & dismantling federal agencies…at a whim.One salient question…is: When & if #Democrats return to #power, how much of Trump’s #damage can they undo?…assume…that #SCOTUS acts in good faith—that its views on presidential power are without partisan favor, & that it doesn’t arbitrarily invent carve-outs to rein in a Democratic president. @Nonilex it's not only repair. what can be done to protect democracy and our institutions going forward? to regain trust in US gov, econ, culture, tech at home and in the world?

@Nonilex Midterms will be the true litmus test. If the Dems cannot take both houses with unassailable majorities I think it's over.And given the lame ass floundering of the Dem leadership at this moment I have serious doubts they're capable of doing that.
