       @GhostOnTheHalfShellI think you're correct but I'd love to hear more re what @jrm4 thinks is happening.I've worked on Dem primaries and we lefties are constantly told we need to support the winner of the Dem primary, no matter how conservative or what games were played to help them win. To then have elected Dems not support the Dem chosen by the primary is hard to swallow.

       @wjmaggos @GhostOnTheHalfShell Jefferies is (likely) between a rock and a hard placeThe thing is folks, we presently have *no clue* how good Mamdani is at "the rest of the job" One can be popular in one space and still be mostly a loser elsewhere, e.g. Bernie Sanders (who I voted FOR in the primary for the record, but yeah)

       @jrm4 @GhostOnTheHalfShell but this is true all the time of first time candidates that the establishment supported, yet we were told to support them cause they won the primary. I don't buy it.lefty challengers are not gonna be there alone. people will be around who know how to run things. and lots of lefty stuff they try to do won't get enough support.what will change is they won't allow corrupt/broken ways that primarily serve insiders to continue. that's what the establishment fears imo.
