       @Ruth_Mottram "Tesla Does Not Appear To Make Money From Generative AI"Can anyone explain why anyone would think they did? I can't even name how they would do this. At least with the other companies I know what they are selling and how they claim they will make money.

       @futurebird @Ruth_Mottram one could push around revenue numbers and account an increase in sales to it. But with such a nightmare image the company has now, there is no increase there either.

       @futurebird @Ruth_Mottram They can't make money with Gen AI for the same reasons that the artists and writers and general* folks whose work was stolen to train these systems can't make money.The people who want to use this do not want to pay for the production of the materials they wish to consume.And, it is obvious because the boosters talk about artists as greedy and selfish for wanting to use their labor to provide for necessities. *ie their photos & emails & chats that were slurped up
