       @intrepidhero @apples_and_pears  I think the person behind Pulse Audio is the same person behind systemd if I’m remembering right. 😄 he knows best.🫡But yeah, direct to ALSA - it was weirdly clear-sounding! Output works fine with ALSA directly, but not input, apulse is a tiny wrapper that enables Firefox to work with pulseaudio API, but it's more lightweight than real pulseaudio. It might add a tiny lag, but otherwise it's fine.
